need trailering bracket

need the bracket for my motor so i trailer it properly .right now i am using the tilt on it i dont want to bend any brackets because it bounces around to much. it a 83 johnson 35 hp.

rusty are you talking about the old drop down brackets sort of u shaped with legs that go into the holes in the transom mount. i have one on my 73 50hp, i use it for launching and loading with my present trailer, used it for towing with the old trailer, different ground clearance. got mine at a used parts place.

transom saver wont work my trailer is to far under the boat for it to work. tashasdaddy yup i think thats it you put it in the side stern brackets lower the motor down lock it or tie strap it down and your good to go. now if someone can tell me where to get one? did it ever come with one? like i said i tilt the motor up lock it tie strap it down to keep it from bouncing . but that is putting a strain on the brackets which cant be good.
