I need a trolling motor and quick release mount for my tahoe Q6 2006. I`m having a heck of a time finding a replacement mount for my fish and ski. Any Ideas please?!!!
Trolling motor mounts (or quick release plates) are not boat-specific. Get one right here on iBoats. Depending on the shape of the bow you may need to fabricate a spacer to level the plate and match the shape of the bow. You cannot simply bolt it down as it would twist and you would not be able to attach the motor. $30 bucks (give or take) gets you the MinnKota quick release plate.
Maybe the spacer is what I`m missing, which is what came original with my Q6 tahoe fish and ski. I`ll go down to bass pro today and try to figure it out. Thanks!!
Bass pro or anyone else will not have anything. Every boat has a different shape at the bow so there would need to be hundreds if not thousands of different shim styles. That piece needs to be made by you or whoever installs the plate, This is not a big deal. The shim can be made from wood, plastic, or thick rubber gaskets placed in various combinations at each mounting bolt so the plate is level when bolted down.
