Need very quick advice on throttle adjustment and motor height

Measure motor shaft length (top of AV plate to where bracket sits on transom). Then measure boat transom from where motor bracket sits to hull bottom in center of transom. The two should be close.

Bill,
I would try adjusting the trim of the outboard, maybe move the pin closer to the transom of the boat. I know the trim position on my boat makes a huge difference.
