Need year and HP info on a Johnson

Hi
I just bought what i was told was a 1976 starcraft with a 40 horse Johnson Sea Horse. But i'm not sure thats what it is. The model # on the Johnson is RDS 25D
and serial # is 2360489. I would like to know if parts are still available but thats hard to find out when i don't really know what i have. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like it's a 1963 40hp. Most parts are a dime a dozen for that engine in this area. Very popular engine... Like the good ole Chev's

your fuel oil ratio is 24:1 not 50:1, the change was made in 1964 to 50:1.
