I took the carb apart and cleaned it. the engine start fine after that without the shock solenoid open.
Still have the ignition problem. I measured the input voltage for the power pack (stator - PP) about 260v, four set and two set of wires from stator and one wire from somewhere else to the PP. I couldn't find the trigger wire. There are no output voltage for the two PP: I measered the voltage between the ground and the six coil and there is nothing. when I started the engine using a bucket full of water, I can feel both sides of the engine warming up. I'm looking to buy the spark tester to test the spark.
In case both PP are bad can the engine start ?
