Re: NEEDING HELP. champion blue ribbon 4.2 hp single cylinder all aluminum

i was able to find an original repair parts kit for this carb on ebay used for 26.00, but it had the missing main adjustment screw (23) so i was happy to find it, it came with the original parts list and service instructions , i thought it may help someone else so here it is, i still need parts (26)main adjustment screw packing (27)main adjustment screw packing nut, but im sure ill be able to find a subsitute somewhere, anyways i installed the main adjustment screw and it fired right up... i only let it run for a about 30 secs beacause it seemed to be getting too warm on the shaft twards the motor , i will have to check it out tomorrow , see if i can find whats wrong if anything even is ????? if anyone has any suggestions of why it may be getting hot so fast please let me know

do you know what the thread size for the main adjustment screw gland which goes into the bottom of the bowl is? i found several kits which may be able to help you but the numbers cross reference over to briggs and stratton. that is if you still need the parts.

no i was able to find a original repair parts kit on ebay used , i took the gamble on the purchase, and luckly the adjustment screw i needed was included, i couldnt tell from the sellers pictures if it was there or not.. but it worked out well so far, i installed the screw and the motor runs!! lol but it is leeking gas around the screw so i still need part #0705 main adjustment screw packing(26 on the parts list) and part # 0703 main adjustment screw packing nut (27 on parts list) any help would be appreciated as always, thanks
