Neighborhood Nazi's.... Paging Lakeman1999...

Ok... Lakeman1999, Lets discuss the "Neighborhood Nazi's aka Do-gooders", code/zone enforcement, and the taking away of our rights...<br /><br />I got them around here by the truckload... Do-gooder's that is... Gripe and complain with their noses stuck to their front room window watching everything that goes on is all they know... However, I see their point because some of the "residents" in my neighborhood think the street is their own personal garbage dump... Cars on blocks in the front yard that have been there for months on end.... Hedges that need to be trimed because you can't see the STOP sign... There for a few months my street seemed to be a good place to leave an abandonded car... NOISE!!! Stuff like that... It de-values my property and thats not right...<br /><br />I keep my act together and don't have any problems with them "Nazi's"...

How about the parents that had to dispose of their sons automobile, that was parked in the drive, waiting for his return from vietnam, that was not insured, or licensed in his absense (which makes sense to people who are not wealthy). Oh well!! its just as well, because he never returned from vietnam anyhow, "MIA".

Kind of a fine line huh? You want people to be involved enough to keep the bad stuff from happening but not so involved that they are a PIA about simple neighborhood stuff. All boils down to common sense which seems to be in such short supply these days... Good fences make great neighbors

If we could all have ryan's neighbor every town would be spotless even the used rustbuckets. <br /><br />Working for a Town it is amazing how many people don't mind their own bidness. I think ralph is right good HIGH fences make great neighbors. Unfortunatley, some people need to errect sound barriers.

I left South Bend, Indiana about 35 years ago, where zoning, socialistic local laws, and unions had made it so undesirable to live, that I could not stand it. I moved to what would be considerd (by these socialist) an undeveloped backward area, a small town in a sparsely populated county in South Carlina. For the last 30 years, I thought I had it made, living in paradise. Well this so-called backward area, is catching up with the rest of the country, and I am seeing develop here, in a small town in paradise, the same zoning, and socialistic laws being enacted, that I ran away from 35 years ago. "HEY" to hell with you "we know whats best for you" socialist, fasciast, dogooders, get off my back, get off my property, and let me live my life my way, not the way ya'all think I should be living it.
