neptune 1.7hp % hiawatha motors

I have a neptune 1.7hp motor model 500 and would like to know when it was made. I also have a hiawatha motor that appears to be aroud 3hp size model 35DMI25-7959B and would like to know size and year it was made.

does the neptune resemble this one? if so, i do believe another member dated my model 500 to 1971.

I think you will find your Hiawatha is model 350MI-25-7959B. It is a 1953, made by Gale Products Division of OMC. It is a Gale model 3D10.

I had one when I was younger, don't remember the year I bought it or why. It was a single cylinder and very simplistic. Only problem I had was I like alternate firing twins or more, not single cylinders and it bothered me when I ran it....wasn't real smooth. OMC spoiled me.
