Yes, I did the most stupidest thing last week. When my motor was miss firing in 5mile zone, I thought I would just check the plugs real quick. Pulled the top plug out while tedering my rear off the side again. Well somebody goes by in a boat of course and shoots me a nice wave to play with. Why not, just thinking out loud to my self A-HOLE The third wave knocks me into the top of my motor and rolls my boat around a little, just as I was getting my balance I let go of the plug socket and plug fell right off my wrench into black butte lake. Now I am feeling so stupid, but it was so funny. No problem, I grab my finns and mask and go into the lake. How hard is it to find a plug and socket under water?.. NOT EVEN... I spent way over 20 minutes diving and feeling around the bottom of that grimmy gross lake and retreived the socket. It took me another 40 minutes begging lake to cough up my plug while trying to keep me and the boat in the same place... I finally gave up and when I put my foot on the engine bottom I stepped right on my plug.. What luck.. I won't be trying that stunt again...

Put some spare plugs in your tool kit. That way you will never foul another one !! :D

Believe me I have a full set or proper wrenches and sockets, spare plug wire, Plug and I now carry a Flywheel puller incase I have to pull it and clean the points, A heavy hammer and a 6" 2X4 with the proper hole fitting for the shaft, plus a spare battery.. And always remember the flywheel holder, it really hurts when you try to hold it by yourself as yourturning the top nut... Go fishing in a boat with me and just about anything could happen.
