I have a 1987 Starcraft 16' walk-thru windshield with a Yamaha 115 on it. I love this boat.

I agree with reelfishin, Starcraft probably isn't as well known as Lund but they are everybit as good.

They are another local company, Topeka is about 15 minutes from my house, unfortunately, you guys may be preserving the brand, Starcraft was recently sold to Smoker Craft and was moved to New Paris IN and Smoker Craft filed for chapter 11 bankrupcy a couple weeks ago.

Both are excellent boats and I hope they make it through this current downturn.

Huron Angler, did you end up buying this boat? I looked at the C-list and it says deleted.

I'm in a little late here, but I have a 16' Supersport from 1976. Bought it last year. It has a 1973 70hp Chrysler that I am currently painting. The PO had a 90 hp Chrysler that gave him trouble, so he picked up a 70hp. Boat is only rated for 85, yet I like the 70hp, its small and compact. The 3 cylinder moves my boat out to maybe 30 mph I'd say and its pretty good on gas.

I really like my 76 Starcraft. Its a dry boat, small enough for any small lake and yet handles Lake Erie well too.

I called the guy and left two messages letting him know that I would buy the boat and never heard back from him. Some people sell boats and don't delete the ads apparently.

I am still looking for the perfect 1070s Starcraft to rebuild. I did have to buy a new alternator, battery, muffler, rear brake pads and rotors for my '99 Explorer so that has put a damper on the boat buying for a few weeks. But I'll be ready to tow it when I get it at least:)

Sounds like you've got yourself a nice motor for that boat. People like the 3 cylinders for the fuel efficiency from what I have heard.
