New 28' ft toon for $1200 fob Wi 25"od ? Anyone dealt with the skipper? Need ur exper

I have 24" on my boat now and they stick out past the deck and so does the transome. The distance is 18". If i get the third it would stop at the deck in the back and in the front in front of the other toons. Or, I could weld the transome to the new toon and maybe put the motor further back. I would think I could use furniture caster dollies to slip it under and jack it up with webbing strap to hold in place to bolt up. Is that how its done.

Installing a third pontoon its 28' . I need to extend it out the back 2'
to be even with the other 2. That means moving the motor and transome back by two foot which is not connected to the new toon. Do i just connect the transome to the new toon or keep the transome connected to the cross members. AND installing a third how big a job is it.? Anyone have any experience. I hope this is clearer.

Yes it is, and I personally haven't done that conversion, How ever I know of 2 methods. One is to use a shorter toon in the center and keep the existing motor pod, and the second is to get a toon that has the motor pod built into the back of the toon. Moving the pod back extends the weigh back and has its own set of problems.

Their is at least one other issue, after the new toon is installed it will add flotation to the boat and that will raise the motor pod and motor so you will have to be careful on the motor height and cavation plate and perhaps make adjustments. And that is about the limit of my knowledge in this area. If you do get into it and decide to turn it into a tritoon you would be way better off to go over into the dry dock section and have those guys walk you through things. All I am doing is pointing you in the right direction.

The trailer tires are in front of center my 250 lbs steps on the back porch and the front comes up. I would think the center of gravity is in front of center. Am I thinking right

When it is on the trailer it is when its in the water its weight is behind the logs and pontoons because of seating storage and motor weight are normally lower in the back, and when the motor goes even farther back it goes even lower, how ever adding a log will lift it, so the tritoon conversion takes a lot of working things out as you go.

If you move the transom back further (for example, going with a new center log with the transom installed), you may have to have longer Steering and Throttle/Shift cables too. Something to take into consideration, whether it is a new log or you move the existing transom farther back...
