New 87 Doral owner

I am a new Doral owner. Although it a 1987 it is still new to me. I am looking at doing some work on it this spring. It will need some cleaning and a little rebuilding (floors) because a bit of rot has creeped in over the years. I just found out that the floor and the stringers at the rear are very bad:mad:! I also need to replace the stringer on the right side motor mount area ( hope this isn't as bad a job as it looks). I can't figure out why Doral would use 1/2" plywood in the floors instead of 5/8" or 3/4". So maybe I :( have a lot of work cut out for me next year .....thats what it's like to own an older boat I guess. Wish me luck PPL

Hey Boateric. Yeah the joys of older boats, I had to do alll that sort of thing with my old '78 Fiberform, not really that bad once you get into it. I've got an 89 Doral now and, fortunately, doesn't need any of that kinda work. What model did you get?
