Good afternoon,
How is everyone? I'm new to your group, let me start off by telling you, I have a 11' aluminum boat every since I was about 7yo,my dad passed it down to me. I got the motivation to restore it a few months ago, after stripping many layer's of paint, copper, and glovitt! I found the tag after cleaning it off I then discovered I own a 1959 F/C model-skippy! so I've turned into a crazed aluminum boat maniac! I'm not finished with the restoration just yet,but when I do I'm sure there's a spot to post pics. My question I am trying to get to when I'm done rambling is; I found another boat I wish to add to my vigin collection on craigslist/maryland/easternshore/posting I.D.#1006086143 looking at the pic. I thought,Man! I found an old F/C. so I went an looked at it this AM. but it's not. it has a closed off c***pit like a vagabond or rocket, but the hull lines aren't the same niether is the distinctive F/C drainplug! the transom used to have a round plate on each side roughly 6-8"s from the gunnal, and it has a ser# brass or copper plate on starboard side of transom, it appears to be inz6568005 ? the numbers are made up of "dots" an not just a number stamp? I was wondering if anyone has run into this simular design? my rough guess is it looks like a lonestar? Thank You,

Frank.
