ok, so I have suffered twofootitus a few times like many boaters. however now I have a new boating affliction.

I find myself looking thru craigslist and other sites for a diamond in the rough project. one minute its a small fishing boat, the next minute its a larger weekender, the next its a catamaran sail boat. however I am not looking at just a restore, however a full blown modification, such as adding powered jet ski lifts, or modifying the boat for flats fishing, converting to a jet drive, etc.

is there a cure? what is this affliction called?

in any event, iBoats is a great support group.

The disease is called boredom. :D

I was cured overnight when I bought a 30 acre estate home. Between mowing the pastures, taking care of the landscaping, the pool, four automobiles, two trailers, three tractor and working full time, I hardly have the time to keep my exiting boat in top condition, let alone dream of "could be" boats.

Sounds like you’re a serial "fixer upper".

You need to open a repair shop to fulfill that insatiable desire before you end up like this guy. :D
