Praise God, I just bought a boat! the Lowe 1600 V Ive been talking about. With it comes the Evinrude 1989 E50TLCEC, the motor is very clean and well lubed and came with the original owners guide, the lower end was done this spring by the dealer, compression is good, plugs are clean and a new alum. prop. Can't say enough good about the dealer, Can we tout a dealer on the board? please someone let me know.

Re: New boat owner!!

Thanks Tdad,
I went through Monadnock Boat Store, in Ringe, New Hampshire. These guys bent over backwards to get me financing, even with a bankruptcy less than 3 years old. Signed for the boat today and they are going to shrink it and store it till March. Great guys, great businessmen, I will be a lifetime customer, and recommend them to anyone!

Congrats on the new boat! Now you got a couple months to dream about being on the water. It gives you time to buy boat toys though..;)

Good to hear there are still good dealers out there..The way the ones are around me i do all my own repairs.
A service manual and all the great folks here at Iboats is all i need:D

No real need for toys to start, the boat is loaded, electronics, stereo, fact. pedestels, etc, even has Cannon downriggers (what the heck do ya' do with 'em?) Spendin time on E-bay buying bigger baits now that I can get to bigger fish!!

Re: New boat owner!!

are they useful for bass fishing? I know folks around here use them for lake trout, and in some places muskie, where can I learn how to use them?
