I'm the proud owner of a new 2008 Larson 180 4.3 l bowrider. When I start using the boat this spring how should I go about breaking in the engine? When can I go open throttle with the boat? Thanks

I wouldn?t think you would need to break in the cam but I wouldn?t do much more then ? for the first 10 hours. Just to make sure everything has seated and broke in properly.

Just take it easy the first few times out, no gunning it out of the hole! As well, might not be a bad thing to check all of your fluids after a few runs for signs of metal particles.

[/I believe that our LARSON owners manuel said no WOT for 20 hours, and to vary the speed during the break in period.

I personally would check with your dealer, and read the owners manuel to make sure that you don't goof up the break in perion suggestions that has been set forth.

We bought our (new) '06 204 Escape in Aug., of 2007, and it barely has 23 hours on it right now.

Our dealer is very good, at explaining things, and answering all of our questions, no matter how small the question is.

Good Luck
