I bought a boat a few monthes ago and well I just Brought it home on sunday and I have a slight problem. My flippin garage is not tall enough to fit it inside. Im 4" to short to get it in the door. it wouldnt be bad if it was a wooden garage but its block.

ps Ill post pictures later today

Re: New boat Owner

let the air out of the tires blow them up inside, it will sure stop the thieves. Be a might inconvienet but tis cheap.

Re: New boat Owner

You wanted a new garage for the boat anyway, so the wife wouldn't smack it with her car door. :D

Re: New boat Owner

4 inches is alot of travel for the tires. I dont think there would be enough air in them to be safe. Plus its also a pain in the shorts since I do have a tandem axel trailer. Thanks for the advise but I think it will stay outside for the summer.... oh yeah the old saying of bring out another thousand is so true. Ill be spending some money this summer on getting a new boat cover one that will secure to the frame of the trailer.

Re: New boat Owner

Try taking off the front tires and let the boggies rock up against the frame, that will lower the rear axle. see if that dont give you the room you need, Only problem might be the rear tires hitting the fender.

Re: New boat Owner

I just had it out last night for the first time. The dealership that I bought it from set me up with a captain to take her on my first voyeuge. It was great, about 65* outside, a light wind and very few boaters.

I did remember to check the plug four times before she went in. Yet I did have 2 little misshaps during the night. My other boat that i have is a 14' flat. I dont have to lift the motor. In the new one I forgot that I need to do that. No worries I didnt drag the skeg on the ground (lucky me). Then while driveing home I didnt cover my boat so there was of swirling wind. and well im am out 1 cup holder and its the most important one( the one at the Helm). But al in all it was a good night.

There is something truely speacil about your first voyeuge in your new boat.

I'm thinking we could all come over and lift the roof on the garage and hold it up while you ad one more course of block to the walls.
Ah heck, ad 2 more rows.

Congrats on a real nice looking rig.Build a ten foot chain link around part of the driveway with a flat tin roof.Serve as a carport too.Not dried in but good rain and sun shelter.Or just poles and a top if you don't need it fenced in and locked up.
