I finished most of the little things that needed fixed, got the batteries in and it was a nice afternoon so took the wife and we put it in the water for the first time. After making sure it wasn`t going to sink, we took off. The engine runs flawlessly, the boat handles like a Caddy! Only thing I found id that I think that the prop may be out of ballance, it has a slight vibration. I checked the shaft and it`s fine. I was able to get it up to around 68 MPH at 5400 RPM before the wife started beating on me and I had to quit.

wow LD, that baby is fast @68mph + some to go. sounds like ya picked up a winner. cool. bet ya'll be the first one to yer favorite fishin hole in that......looks real sweet in the water too.....ya should be happy.....

I confess that that reading was with the boats speedometer, but it`s faster than my other boat. Sometime when I`m by myself, I will take my GPS and get true #`s and post them. It clearly needs a prop with more bow lift. Also I havn`t measured the pad to shaft distance. It now has a screwed up old Raker 26P. The top holes in the water pickup are filled with epoxy so it has been messed with for speed. It`s going to take a bit of getting used to the foot throttle.

It needs Smart Tabs, but I`m not sure that the transom is going to allow them.
