New Boat upgrade worth it

Hey everyone, I currently own a 1850 2002 Fishawk sc, I am looking at a 2009 Super Hawk 19, I fish in a lot of lakes in the Oh KY. Mi. ect. area, but mostly on Lake Erie, Looking to see if anyone if anyone here would know if the upgrade would be a significant difference worth spending the money. I love my F. Hawk ,but would like a little more on Erie, and still be able to tow around to other places with ease, I mainly fish. Has anyone here been on a Super Hawk 19 in some big water? It's always worth getting a new toy, but I would not expect the 19 footer to handle anything the 1850 wouldn't handle. To be able to fish Lake Erie without worry at anytime would require something much much larger. I've fished out in Lake Ontario with 4-6 foot waves, and it just isn't any fun. Too much work keeping the speed right, keeping the heading right, and making sure you don't take a wave over the transom.

Thanks, I already bought the boat, couldnt pass the deal, Its 19.7 long, 99wide, and 10 inches deeper with a full windshield, I hope it's better ,but i liked the Fish Hawk , a little wet in rough water ,but stable. I was told it will tow just as good with the tandem axle trailer, Can't wait till spring, Erie walleye, Cumberland stripers in KY, How do you like your boat ?, Tim

Love it, but it can be a little wet in the rough water. Can't complain as it only had 13 hours on it and I only paid $3600. The boat sat in the guys garage from 1997 until 2007, when I bought it. It sat as the boat and trailer were never registered after that. Spent an additional $700 at the marina to replace the fuel pump, impeller, and just go thru it top to bottom. Run's great.

Wow , sounds like a great deal, even with the 700, I owned a few other brands before the crestliner, there was no match in quality, and stability, even tho they are a little wet in the rough. I'm hopin there is a difference in dry ness between the two tho, I boarded the 1900 , and it seemed much deeper, and i didnt have a windshield on the F. Hawk. I think you will enjoy the windsheild at least. Lets us know how you like it after using it for a while.
