New Bravo III Complete Stern Drive

New Bravo III Complete Stern Drive from Doug Russell for $4280. Too good to be true?

I've read / heard some bad feeback about these guys but they say on the phone that it is brand new, should have been manufactured in 2006 or 2007 and has a 1 year warranty from MerCruiser.

And its exactly what I need. My outdrive Model # is 5441600LS / Serial # is OL167051 and the MerCruiser site states that it is a 2:00 : 1 ratio for the 454MAG MPI.

My lower unit is toast but at this price it seems like it wouldn't be a bad iedea to do the whole thing.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

There's usually a bunch of them on ebay too.

Non-current models from dealers around the country. You might try to find one a little closer to you.

find out if the transom plate and mounting hardware is there.
thats usualluy 2300, unless youve allready got one.

if your going from an alpha, as i understand it, you will also need a sea water pump, as bravos dont draw thru the leg.

also the props, (ss) can be obtained for 400 need to be balanced, my mech says there around a thou, done.

disclaimer!!!! this is only word of mouth! im checking it out too, i just bought one for 1800, new with warr.

Doug Russell seems ok, bought some stuff for 3.L from them, but they waddin real friendly on the phone, but the parts I needed worked out ok
