New coupler--old alighment bar ????????

OK--here's a good one---1988 260 Alpha drive---installed new style coupler and the old alignment tool just won't go into the coupler correctly----fits great into the other drive ( this is a twin engine app )--everything looks straight as a arrow--question is--is there a updated alignment bar for the new coupler--it seems to only go in so far before the next thickness of the bar stops it ????? That's because the couplers changed. Read this 92 service bulletin
