I was fishing with a buddy one time on his center console and near the back of the boat in the deck was a drain in each rear corner. On my boat the drains, which I think is called a self bailing system, are through the transom at deck level. Their about 3/4 inch. On my buddies boat they were in the deck and looked similiar to the drains you would see in your kitchen sink. They probably drained into 2" hose.
I like this system better than mine because I think it would obviously drain faster should I take a wave over the sides.
My question is has anyone seen this type of system?
Also if I do mine like this I think I would use 2" hose and through hull fittings going through each side right in front of the transom, but if I took on water and my fittings were below the waterline would they still drain my deck?
