If I could guarantee the weather and lake conditions I would suggest you take a drive to Belle River and we could blast around Lake St Clair for a couple of days. If you fancy that let me know. Nice 15 mile each way trip to Mitchells Bay is a nice run for the family. Lunch or dinner there and out to the "fish hump" for some perch before returning.
Looking forward to hearing how the prop performs.:)

Sounds like a plan, I'll have to check what days we have off next. I only get every second weekend off so getting out is not so easy for us. I will let you know how the prop works if I have the boat out before then.

Cheers! Rick.

I will be away on business in China and Japan from 20th September till 30th September. Thanksgiving weekend work for you ??? October 9th, to 11th this year. If the weather co-operates Lake St Clair is usually like a mill pond. Has been for the last 3 Thanksgiving weekends.

Looks great, hope it improves things for you. Then we can get into motor height and fine tune the trim a little more.
Looking forward to hearing (or seeing) the results :D:):D

Re: New Doral TRX owner.

Wow stumbled across this thread by accident. I use to own this boat from 2003-2006, I bought it from Pieces Marine in Oakville Ont. This Boat was an Insurance salvage claim from previous owner, claimed the boat sank in lake Ontario, the boat was stripped pretty much no trailer and no engine, steering controls or throttle controls. The rear transom wasn't very good and had gel coat cracking from top to bottom of center of transom. My father and I decided to than fit that aluminum plate and sealed and bolted it to the rear transom. The boat wasn't nearly as rough in condition to what it was when you purchased it, I traded this boat in on a brand boat at Leisure Marine in Woodbridge. Here are some pics of when I use to own it. Nice to see you restored it to a nice condition, the engine and trailer I owned since 1994 never had any issues with outfit. Do you still have the boat?

Re: New Doral TRX owner.

NO KIDDING!!!! I havent been on here in a while. Have major issues with my house and it's eating up all my time. I sold the TRX in the fall of last year as I bought a bigger boat. It was a great boat once I fixed her all up. You should have seen how quick it was with the 115 on the back! I have a vdeo somewhere of it taking off. from idle to full plane it was less then 2.5 seconds. It was extreemly fast. Kicked the crap out of my newer I/O. As you saw when I got her she was pretty well toast. A little determination and you can fix anything.

Thanks for uploading the pics, I scooped them up for my album.

Cheers Rick.
