Re: new friends at the boat launch
We are always offering an outing to anyone we know or meet that we know doesn't own a boat.
We especially try to cater to my girls teen friends that are less fortunate or come from "not the best home life"
I believe we as boaters are responsible for showing perspective future boaters what the lifestyle is all about.
I also explain to people it doesn't necessarily take a lot of money to get started, although maintenance can get quite costly at times.
I tell them to let me know when they are ready and I will help them find a good boat that fits their budget.
I have lost count how many people I have got into boating for less than $2000
