New Friends /Old Friend

Just got home from a great week in Central Florida. Most of the time was in the Orlando area ... Sea World, Discovery Cove, Kenndey Space Center, Airboat ride ... tried to do a bunch of fun educational stuff for the littlest aspeck. But the best part of the week was the day trip to Southeastern Florida.

Got to meet up with Snapperbait, which is always a treat. The brother is too busy with the family business to breath! While everyone else is in his industry is closing up or cutting back, he is growing. He and Pops must be doing something right!

Then on to meet Sasto and his girlfriend for the first time. What a delightful couple. We had a ball fishing on a head boat. Had the whole boat to ourselves. Just a really fun time and super people. Once again meeting iboats friends for the first time and not being disappointed. (And Capt Mike, you have a real prize there, don't let her get away ... seal the deal as soon as you can! )

It was a real pleasure meeting aspeck and family. Some people you can get a feel for just by their posts. Aspeck is one of them. A wonderful man and a real (reel) pleasure to be around. Although we decided to fish off a head boat and only caught a couple keepers, the time was priceless.

aspeck, did you go to Fantasy of Flight, just west of Disney, Polk City? If you did or drove by, you were less then 4 miles from my parents' house. Hope you waived!

Nope, didn't do the Fantasy of Flight ... just couldn't fit EVERYTHING in this week. Got company coming today and have to prepare for tomorrow, but will get some pictures up soon.

IDK, Fireman, getting 2 firemen together could be dangerous ... LOL! Just don't like to post much about being away till after I am home ... security thing, I guess. Just heard too many horror stories. Next time I am down I will give you a shout and we can see what will happen. It is always great to meet other iboaters. Never disappointed yet, all have been a great people ... even Bob_VT! HA!

Sasto and girlfriend are in the white and white/black tees, hats, shades. I am in the Ghana shirt and "fish hat" in Sasto's pic. Plaid shirt and green and white hat was Scott, the first mate. Capt. was in the black sweat shirt. Littlest aspeck, well, she is the cute one holding fish, and Mrs aspeck in brown sweat jacket and white hat.

That was a remora that was caught by the mate. They have a cool suction cup like head ... he stuck it there and it stayed for several minutes before flopping to the deck and was then released into the wild. Pretty amazing how he stuck there ... there was a "small" manta ray swimming around the boat and the mate was trying to catch a cobia that was probably following, but caught the remora instead.
