Great job.<br /><br />Just for future reference, next time you post pictures, resize them to aprox 500 X 500 for those of use that do not have high speed internet.<br /><br />It takes forever to download a 1600 X 1600 picture with dialup.

It takes a while to dload with DSL! But it was worth it. Nice work, Wraenking. Btw, having big pix is nice because I can zoom around and see details. I would not open the ‘thumbnail’ critter due to security warnings.<br /><br />Question; is the compass ok that close to the electronics?

i will resize next time guys, sorry about that.<br /><br />she seems to be working fine, when i go out to the ocean, and turn back toward land, she reads west, so i hope shes good!!!

You can compensate for electronics by adjusting the compass. Take a peek at your owners manual for instructions or if you don't have it, look on the internet. There are usually two brass rods at right angles which you can turn that will change the compass so it will read right when placed next to magnetic objects. You can demostrate this by placing a steel screwdriver next to the compass; the card will go wild. If you really need it to be accurate, you can also hire a guy to go out with you on the boat one day and calibrate it for you, but it costs $. ($100+ -)
