Anybody got any tips for me...or things I should watch out for. I will be taking possession this week. Rigt now it's getting a bow cover, tower speakers, amp, battery switch and a few other things installed. I need to have hour meters put on the engines too. Everything I have read says this is one of the hottest selling boats in America...I am getting rid of my old 97 Challenger 1800...which was pretty fun...and replacing it with this one. Hope I don't regret it...so anything anyone can tell me that will enhance my Yamaha experience...please don't be shy...Thanks

Dogosaur, I'm thinking about one of these boats...how did you make out?? I currently have a Maxum 1800SR3 and am REAL CLOSE to buying an SX230. What do you like, what do you NOT like, People capacity, etc...? Trailerability with the Yami?

Don't leave the boat in the water for excessive points of time. The boat can go in very shallow water but don't go in to shallow water or it will get stuck. Don't go out into the ocean on rainy or windy days because the boat is not very big so it can be easily tipped over.Find a nice day and you can go to the ocean. Make sure you get used to the no wake mode because it is kind of hard to use at first.
