New Guy Needs Engine ID Help - Evinrude 3.3?

Hello all, I'm new here & just picked up my first boat. A 14' Sears gamefisher that came with a motor I'm trying to ID. I've looked thru tons of threads the last few hours, and cant find a link to a website that will help me ID the motor.

The model #8303 Serial # B7795

Please help the new guy, I'd like to go over the motor & get a carb kit for it.

That's (8303) not a valid Evinrude number, as far as I can discover. Have another look at the model number and see if it isn't something else.

The 1939 4303 is a 3.3 hp Evinrude.

the 1949-51 evinrude 4423's were also 3.3 hps do you have a picture to post? if it's really old, try posting a help request at the antique outboard motor website amoci.org

Upon closer review & better lighting I found it to be

3038

These are the numbers imprinted on a large bolt head on the engine

So from my investigsting - that wouls make it a 3hp 1961 - Can anyone confirm that I'm looking at the right thing before I start ordering parts?
