Hi, guys new to the site, I will get to the point, I picked up a '92 DT 115 last night.
its throwing the oil alarm right after startup at idle, I suspect the tank, and float sensor and filter flow sensor probably needs cleaning, pushing the clear oil alarm button does Not clear the alarm when running.... I can cycle the key and it will clear sometimes for a half minute then come back, its smoking like a normal 2 stroke... so I believe its getting oil but not enough to satisfy the safety's, compression checked out good at 120 on all 4 holes,.
I did a search here last night and found lots of helpful info on the system but not exact details on servicing these 3 items,
can a guy blow carb cleaner into and backwards through the flow sensor to clean it?? same with the tank. and what does a guy do to clean the floats properly.??
its Sunday and I cant get a manual and non of my motor buddies has one to share, I tinker on outboards for fun and am a pretty decent mechanic but have never serviced a Suzuki Inj system.
I found a good post on bleeding the air from the system after service so I am good there......appreciate any help.
I am in N, Seattle if we have a fellow member that may have a manual I can look at.....
Peace, B.
