Hi, guys new to the site, I will get to the point, I picked up a '92 DT 115 last night.

its throwing the oil alarm right after startup at idle, I suspect the tank, and float sensor and filter flow sensor probably needs cleaning, pushing the clear oil alarm button does Not clear the alarm when running.... I can cycle the key and it will clear sometimes for a half minute then come back, its smoking like a normal 2 stroke... so I believe its getting oil but not enough to satisfy the safety's, compression checked out good at 120 on all 4 holes,.

I did a search here last night and found lots of helpful info on the system but not exact details on servicing these 3 items,

can a guy blow carb cleaner into and backwards through the flow sensor to clean it?? same with the tank. and what does a guy do to clean the floats properly.??

its Sunday and I cant get a manual and non of my motor buddies has one to share, I tinker on outboards for fun and am a pretty decent mechanic but have never serviced a Suzuki Inj system.

I found a good post on bleeding the air from the system after service so I am good there......appreciate any help.

I am in N, Seattle if we have a fellow member that may have a manual I can look at.....

Peace, B.

the tank level switchs are easily tested with an ohm meter, they are on or off.
the flow switch is located between the tank and the pump. DO NOT blow air through it as it can damage the diaphram. it can be dissasemled and the screen cleaned.
you cn test it after cleaning with a vacum source and a multimeter. its either off, normal, or on screen restricted and a vacum pulled on the outlet end.

I believe I got it, I pulled the tank dumped all the oil out, blew out the drain tube, pulled the flow switch, it was pretty gummy with oil, cleaned it with carb cleaner and carefully wiped it clean, reassembled it all, dumped in a gallon of Prem Quicksilver oil, fired it with my mixed gas can, idled great no alarm, ran if for 10 mins, bled the air from the system, decarboned the motor ran it awhile longer, shut it down.

hooked up the straight gas can with seafoam ran it for awhile ....double checked the fuel mixture settings, guy before was twisting trying to figure it out...she's popping real good now , ran it in reverse and it responds clean and no alarm went off....ready for a water test.
