Hey all! I just recently picked up my first boat!! Pretty excited about it, and excited about this forum. I have been looking for a boat for a few months just a simple cheap boat to just be on the water with, Well craigslist came through and gave me one of those have to buy it deals. Its a 1971 Glastron V164 Aqua lift. I/O With a volvo 4cylinder. Interior needs re upholstery. However but of mine does that as a profession he and I are doing some trading he starts on my interior tomorrow :) Anyway moving on, I got this boat with trailer both current on tags and license for a whopping $600.00 steal! Now the guy I got it from got it on a trade for his truck. He never once took it out on the water because he doesnt like the water. He felt he could sell the boat for more than the truck.. and he did lol. Anyway SUPPOSEDLY this motor was rebuilt copmpletely and only has less than 10 hours on it... I dunno bout that.. It runs really good. He dry fired it a few times for a few others looking at it prior to me.. I went to wally world but those muff things and hooked her up fired right up. I rev'd it a lil and it didnt seem to want to come back down on the r's. So I shut her down and it dieseld out as though the timing is off. Had a bit of crankcase smoke too.. Anyway, Wanted to take it out this weekend to the lake, so decided to take it to the river (its local) first. TO make sure the trip would be worht it and it wouldnt break down, Glad I did. The boat overheats very quickly. I started a thread in the proper section for that.. Anyway Hoping its a simple fix. The impeller on the water pump is fine, So I dunno what else to look for? onto the pics..

Frst time I had it in the water Friday evening thats my buddy in it waiting for me to pull the car up.

Thanks! Pretty excited about it. Going to hook up a hose to it maybe tonight, depending how work goes today! Hopefully figure out this overheating issue.
