Hi all, I need input on a 1999 Chaparral Sunesta 232, 5.0 mercruiser, alpha 1 2nd generation outdrive. Never used in salt water.Ordered factory manual yesterday, but mean time, what do I need to do to pull 200hr. maintainence. I've done the basics, changed oil, water separator filter, fuel filter, checked fluids, belt tension. Runs great, sounds great, BUT, when I start the engine, I can see a very small amount of oil on the water surface. The lower unit oil reservoir shows the foot is using a small amount of oil. I've never had a boat with this reservoir. What seals do I need to replace. Can Don S or someone post the link showing where the oil reservoir line connect to the lower unit. Any suggestions and info is appreciated. Thanks

Here is a link to an owners manual for a 2001 model which is very similar to yours. It includes a maintenance schedule.
Fust follow that oil reservoir line to the transom, you will find the connection on the starboard side.

http://www.boatfix.com/merc/Owner/gas/86017101.pdf
