new impeller kit

Does anyone use a dab of vaseline/grease to help role the new impeller into the new cup???

I used 2-4-C the last time, but it was close and handy.
The big V should be fine too.

some may..but you dont want anything clogging the primer indent that allows the pump to keep its prime.. this is the small slot on the housing that the impeller housing slides into..

I use a very light weight oils..same oil as you would use for a pnuematic nailer.. or something similar...

Vaseline and other petroleum products can harm the rubber - I use dish soap.

"Lightly Iubricate water pump body insert with
2-4-C Marine Lubricant with Teflon".

KY Jelly or other water based lubricant is best.
