Okay well took the boat out last night to try it and still gets hot if I run about 5 mph it will cool right back down to 150 or if I am doing 35mph still runs 150 it gets warm if I am just sitting at idle for 5 minutes or in a no wake zone for 15 minutes. Also is their any reason why I could just pull the thermostat and not run one I never ran one In my drag car.

Okay today I pulled the the upper unit off and the o ring was right were it was supposed to be Know I am really confused. I pulled the top thermostat housing off and their was no thermostat even in their just the gasket. So what degree thermostat should be their. Or is it just fine to buy a new gasket and not even worry about a thermostat at all Could it be possible my water pump is going bad would it do this. Well jsut sitting on the lake with the boat at idle for about 5 minutes the temp will start to climp. Put it in neutral and rev it to about 1200 it will start to go back down to about 150. I am just confused and trying to get it all figured out before the 4th I really wanted to take the boat out. Thanks In advance

I had mine on the lake this week end,It stayed about 150deg. the whole day. I ran her hard (45-50mph)for about 10 miles and came to a no wake zone she climbed a little at idle speed but once I gave her some throttle 22mph. she cooled right down to 150 again all day long.
