Ok...for those of you who read my previous post...I have now done more work.

I pulled the tank and drained it out....cleaned it...all that jazz... i put new fuel in it, new fuel filters, and it still ran the same...i put some sea foam in the tank, carb, and oil...it seems to run a little better now...i'm quite sure the carb needs to be rebuilt.

There is a yellow colored hose running from the upper left side of the carb to the bottom side of the fuel pump...what is this hose exactly? Anyways, it was gunked up with some thick stuff and while i did clean it, i imagine the rest of the stuff is still as gunked up...so thats my next thing to try...rebuilding and cleaning out the carb.

New question: When my outdrive is all the way up or down (or close to it) it makes a noise in which it sounds like the internal gears are under a lot of stress...is that normal and if not, does anyone have any idea what that might be?

Thanks for all of your help!!!!,

Harley
