New Install Headaches

I have a 2007 Xpress 1650 flatbottom with a short transom. Found a great deal on a 1985 Mercury 50 Hp long shaft. So I bought a TH Marine High Jacker Static Jack Plate and mounted jack plate and outboard to the boat. The boat planes out great and gps's at 30.8 mph. My problem lies in the fact that at 1/2 throttle and above it sprays water everywhere including over the transom. Any ideas? Thanks.
I have pictures of jack plate and outboard but don't know how to post them

With out any pics, I'd say the mtr is to low in the water. Or else something on the bottom of the boat causing this.

When you set back an engine with a jackplate you must raise it higher than normal. Your engine is mounted too low and yes, that will cause it to spray water--even into the boat. Raise the engine an inch at a time until the spraying stops.

Thanks for the replies. The capitation plate is flush with the bottom of the transom, so I guess its back to the drawing board and fabing a new jack plate. The High jacker is as high as it will go.
