OK, so I've finished pulling the twin 165hp Mercruisers from this 1977 26' Fiberform. Glad I did not decide to restore this Fiberform as it appears to have been built with a chopper gun.

I'm going to install one of the motors in my 1962 21' Glasspar Ventura but I need to see layout plans for cutting the hole in the transom. Not quite sure the exact dimensions up from the bottom of the boat.

I was going to go by the Fiberform but I was unsure if the outdrive sits higher or lower depending on the draft????

Should I just use the dimensions from the Fiberform and call it good??

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, the engines set different on twins than single installations.

Here is a link to a 2000 installation manual. The cutout is the same as yours. You will need the paper cutout template to locate the cutout. You can get them from your local Mercruiser dealer.

Thanks Don. As usual, you guys are life savers!

I'll post pictures as I put the engine in.
