i just bought a new toshiba laptop. Toshiba Satellite? L675D-S7104, now it comes with 4gb ram, it can use up to 8gb of ram. i want to know if i buy 4 more gig of ram will i be helping me out at all? im sure it cant hurt, and i know more is better for everything else. the price for the 4 gig memory isnt that pricey like about 50 bux. so is it worht 50 bux or should i stick with the 4 gb? i mostly do downloading and back ups of movies and games for my wii. i dont play games or really do any type of movie or foto editing. just wondering if its worth the 50. i can afford 50 bux, if not just to say i have 8 gigs of ram. must b the napoleon complex in me.

Re: new laptop

You should have no need nor see much benefit in more than 4gb of ram.

Re: new laptop

Is it a 64bit operating system? If not your not even using your 4gb.....4gb is plenty for a laptop.

If your not going to be running memory intensive applications then you will see no difference at all by putting in another 4 gig, even on a 64 bit OS, I take that back, you will notice your wallet is $50 lighter...
