New member, new to me CC

Hey guys and gals. New to the forum. I have been out if the boating world for a few years now and just picked me up a new toy. I have a '94 Seaswirl Striper 2150 center console. I bought this boat with no motor or controls. My plan is to steal the 1985 150 hp Johnson I have on another vessel (V-20) and put it on this boat. The V-20 hull is pretty well shot and would basically need split in half and restored and I'm just not feeling it. Anyways I picked up the Seaswirl from a guy who just bought the identical boat but in the Walk-Around hull and he wanted his motor and controls for his new rig. I gave him $1300 for the boat. The hull and transom are solid, I haven't found a soft spot in anything yet. Also the tandem trailer it came on has new leafs and hardware and new hubs and rather new tires. I'm thinking I did good. Already I've seen I need to do some major wiring fixes as the inside of the console looks like a horror movie. Someone definitely wasn't worried about fire at sea when they wired up everything. My controls for my V-20 are side mount so I found a set of OMC top mount controls with cables for a cool $50. My motor is the VRO but I'm thinking about bypassing that and mixing myself. I pulled the tank out of the boat after draining 30+ gallons of ethanol free fuel (put that in my work truck) so I'll be starting with a fresh empty tank. I'll keep updates here and if I can figure out how to make my pics smaller I'll post up some pics.
