I've got a new 50 HP 2 stroke ELPTO that starts fine. When I leave the dock the motor stumbles and then dies after going about 100 - 200 yards. If I re-pump the the priming ball it will run again for about 200 yards and do the same thing again. It only does it when you are at around 1000-2000 RPMS. And it may run fine for 15 minutes a low RPM but then die again. Full throttle it does fine. I am through the breaking period so there's no oil in the gas loading the system up. My dealer is scratching his head. This is a brand new boat and he has replaced everything related to the fuel system except the tank in the boat. Any ideas???

Oh, oh. Dealer scratching head is a bad sign you have a sucky dealer service dept.

Have somebody continue to squeeze the primer bulb as you pull away. Remove the fuel cap on the tank to make sure a vacuum is not building. Could be the fuel pump is not working properly.
