New Motor Home Can Cruise On Land Or Water
2794449_200X150.jpg
ALEXANDRIA, Va -- The propellers on the back of the Terra Wind are the first clue that it's not a typical RV.

The Terra Wind is an amphibious motor home. It can do 80 mph on the highway and about six knots on water.

It was created by Jim and Julie Giljam, of South Carolina, who showed off the vehicle at a recent RV show in the Washington area.

The amphibious RV is more like a luxury liner, with everything from a full-size Jacuzzi whirlpool bath to a big screen TV.

While the motor home is at home on the water, the Giljams say it's not for ocean cruises. It can only take waves up to about four feet high.

It also has a yacht-like sticker price. The Giljams say the Terra Wind has a base price of $850,000.

But where is the fishing platform?

Looks like the wild thornberries vehicle to me. Those with kids, and grandkids, know who I'm talking about.

I wonder why its not planning out? Oh, I forgot, they left their tow dolly with the Toyota Camery hooked up. That must be the anchor?

My wife calls those things "rolling s***houses". She hates those things.

Re: New Motor Home

Saw this in one of the motorhead mags recently. My thought then was, "Sure looks tippy to me,wouldn't want to get into any kind of a chop or wind in it on the lake!"

Guess I will save my $850,000 for a different play toy - just not sure which toy. Comne to think of it, can't remember where I put that $850,000!
