New O/B are high! My dads 1974 150 merc listed for $1895 and the entire boat a 1973 Glastron V-186 Swinger and trailer came in well under 4000. Of course the salaries were not as high either!

I saw a 1942 Stearman on the web today for $65K - and would go for it if I had the bucks.

SoLittle, obviously you are aware of the value of a good Stearman....If it's airworthy, 80K wouldn't be a bad buy!!

A good rule of thumb on new O/B prices on what I've seen is 100 dollars a H.P. That is on 2 strokes, 4 strokes are higher.

Thanks for your support, Mike.

Maybe we can arrange a refund of all the money it has cost you for the thousand or so answers and advice you have gotten here, courtesy of iboats.

Would you care to tout a few more competitors, just to show your loyalty?
