Ayuh,... A standard production oil pump is just what ya need,...

Nothin' Marine 'bout 'em....

Are the core plugs Brass,..??

Yes they are brass. Is that right?

Any breaking procedures I should know about? Anytype of breaking oil recommended? What about paint?

Don't think I have ever seen a painted oil pump!

Conventional oil only for the first 20 hours. Then change to synthetic Mercruiser 20w-40

What about paint?

Don't know where you boat, but if it is in salt water, I would suggest painting everything with a rattlecan of rustoleum and then spraying the engine down completely with a corrosion inhibitor. There are various brands - CRC makes one and they sell it here on iboats:
