Hi there,
me and my fried bought 78 9teen this Saturday. It is in very good shape for its age.
It is our first real boat, so everything is new to us.
We took it out to the lake Sunday, which was an adventure
It seems to shift real hard when going into reverse with a hard jerk.
Is this normal? btw its 470 i4 170hp
Also the steering is so heavy, that i cant steer with one hand, need to put a lot if muscle. What is the most common problem? Cable or some other places to check first?
It also seems to stall when shifting, probably the shift interrupt switch is sticking?
It died trying to put boat on trailed and we could not get it started again - narrowed it down to no spark, cranks, but no spark.
One last question - anyone has a picture of the underside of the seats where hinges show? Seats are fixed on a piece of plywood, I have the hinges in the box and would like to make the seats recline again.
thanks,
Tomas
