New owner

Hello,
I just bought a 1989 EbbTide 180 with a Force 150 CFI outboard. The lower end has been rebuilt and new wires were installed a few years back. The boat and motor has been sitting and not ran for two years. Other than spark plugs what else should be replaced? Are there any filters or lubes/grease that need replaced? Thanks.

Check this link out. It has a lot of basic things to check that are applicable to all 2 stroke outboards.

+1 on mnwboats suggestion. All of things you need to check and replace have been discussed for years on this forum. Take the time to do some searches using different search phrases and study the threads.

When you get stuck and need a hand, come back to the forum, tell us what you have done so far and what help you need.

Oh, and buy a Clymer Force Outboard Shop Manual. You are going to use it until you sell the boat.
