Here's me, my wife and our two "bow wow riders" as I like to call them. This is at East Fork Lake in Clermont County, Batavia, Ohio yesterday.

Air temp was around 70 but the water was still about 77 degrees... good day for some wakeboard/kneeboard wipeouts.

Anyway this is our 2004 Four Winns Horizon 170. Volvo Penta 3.0GL SX.

Hope to get two more weekends out of it. This coming Saturday on the Ohio at Cincinnati and the following weekend on the Maumee in Napoleon, Ohio, then winterizing and storing in my dad's garage for the lonely months.

brought my buddy out wakeboarding, he brought his camera so i asked him to snap a couple pictures after i dropped him off at the dock. it was funny because i expected it to take him about 15 seconds. it took him about 3 minutes. everyone around the launch and dock was like, what the heck is going on, apparently we walked into a photoshoot?

Thats nice, them dawgs look content, I'll bet they get excited when the pfd's come out.
BTW wasn't East Fork on that (no contact) water advisory? toxins from the blue algea bloom.

How do the pups like being on the water? We have two pups that we bought the vests for but we haven't taken them out yet. What about potty breaks?

thanks everyone.

yeah the dogs love the boat and don't mind their PFDs. i haven't built them a doggy ramp yet so we like the PFDs for the handle, so we can pull them back into the boat. still pretty awkward though.

we like to go about 100-150 feet from a nice shoreline, they jump right in as soon as we stop and tell them it's okay. they paddle around, fetch, etc and then paddle to the shore if they need to relieve themselves. they have a blast.

they do get the boat pretty wet. we wring them out on the pseudo swim platform but they of course like to jump down into the boat, find the nearest person, stand 1 inch away, and shake off.

Nice FW. I had a 170 and they are great little boats. I used to live in Batavia off 222 so we would always go during the week when the lake is empty. Now that I've moved the Ohio river is a little closer and easier to get to than East Fork.

at the ramp saturday i opted for coasting in, neutral, bow hits bunks, and i winch the rest of the way. no power at all. worked just fine but it definitely takes longer and is more work. but it's probably the right thing to do.

as for the dogs wearing PFDs and the humans not, what can I say? golden retrievers are smart.

Maybe I will see yah out there sometime! I usually go to Caesars Creek, but also go to East Fork some too! Have fun on the Ohio River this coming weekend. On the days that the current isn't super strong, it is a pretty neat place to cruize around on. I have been when the Reds were playing a ballgame and they were setting off the fireworks after a homerun. Pretty Neat! You can also see right in the stadium from the river!

yep, plan on hanging around the ballpark a little during saturday's afternoon game. never done it, always wanted to. hope the weather's nice.

we get up to caesar creek once in a while... maybe see you next season?

I think you are jumping the gun on winterizing though. I plan to wait until November and get in as often as I can before then. Of course that will be just cruising in the boat, and not getting in the water. I like getting out by myself on a nice day even if I have to wear a light jacket and long pants.
