Re: New Piston for '87 90hp

Hi
After rebuild You better back of 3 to 4 ? on the timing. and adjust prop to rev 5800 to 6000rpm to reduce internal engine heat.
the piston has a severe heat damage and the ringland are knocket away.
Ive been there 2.
best regards

Heading out to the lake today, running double oil, going to break it in properly. Idles much better than before, I have a feeling its been running on less than 4 cyl since i got it a few months ago.

Thanks again for the help and suggestions, I am going to back off the timing a bit and see what rpm she reaches after a few hours of break in.
