New pontoon steers Like a Truck

I have a 2011 Starcraft 20 ft pontoon with a 50 hp 4 cycle Merc big foot and it steers harder than any pontoon I have ever owned. It has a steering friction adjuster on the motor that I adjusted as loose as it would go and I also lubricated all the steering linkedge and greased the swivel bracket with merc grease. It only helped a little...What do I do? Only 30 hours on the rig.

Back to the dealer. A 50 hp shouldn't steer that hard.

How is it at the dock and going at minimal throttle?

Could also be it has too sharp of a bend in the cable somewhere. Like EGlide said, I'd take it back..

If it is tight in one direction and not the other it could be the trim tab, regardless I am with the other guys, it should not be like this and it is on the dealer to fix it.

Concure, on a new boat you should not have to do anything, get it back to the dealer and have it looked at.

Back to the dealer! I have a 95 model barge with a 79 model 100 evinrude and it turns with very little effort
