New project

Hi everyone, first post on here. I just started tearing appart my new boat. Its a 1970 19 foot fiberform. Ugly olive green in colour, mercruiser leg, 250 chev striaght six with cracked block, and a very rotten floor (i know what was i thinking). So far ive pulled the leg off, pulled the engine out, tore the engine down and located another non cracked block to rebuild. Started pulling the floor out. Ive done some engine work and fiberglassing on much larger boats before so ive got a bit of an idea what to do. Anyway i should have some pictures of the project up within a couple days.

heh heh heh.....i hope your working under cover... the cold....the sometimes snow...or the rain gets in the way of boat building sometimes....

youve said youve worked on "bigger boats"......and your framillar with the west coats term of "gype"......were you in a boat yard?

and by the way.....welcome to i boats. !

this is the best site ive found or seen....others dont compair.

our mechanics that post are the best any where and the other guys are just all around encylopedias of boats.

besids that ......just a really good bunch of guys.....

currently with in 30 kms of you.....i beleive ther is 2 or 3 i boats projects going on.....there is about 15 members here from vanc area.....so....lots of help if you need.

i go thru maple ridge all the time.

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,..

Just alittle FYI,...
Does this replacement Block have the Big Ears at the front of the block, for the front motor mount,..??
Many Truck Blocks are exactly the Same,.. Except for the Ear on the, I believe, starboardside....
I'd hate to see you get it Rebuilt, only to figure it out Later...
