I have a 2000 crownline 180br with a 190hp 4.3 engine. I recently chewed up my prop and dont know what i should get i am looking for speed and fuel economy. turning point is suggesting 14.25x23 seems alittle off. What should I do?

Crownline has Mercruiser? If so go to Mercurymarine.com and use there prop selector. You can plug in all kinds of info and it selects best props for your needs. Pick the ones you like and research 'em here. Just be sure to price shop.

I suggest you simply replace with the same size prop that's on there, unless there is some reason not to.

You can find the gear ratio on the LH side of the drive on the upper half.

But i would keep same size and pitch unless it was lacking. Just look on the outside of the hub between the bases of the blades. Or in the inner hub by the retaining nut. Should read something like 14X21P or just 14X21.
