Bman, I have the same 15x15 TP prop and was using it on a similar cruiser but with the 5.7. My experience is it holds great and handles awesome at low speed, but I think you will be dissapointed in the WOT RPM reading. It is a very heavy prop and has pretty aggressive cupping. I have 2001 Glastron GS 249 and it only spun up to 4100 RPM with just myself in the boat. I switched it out for a SOLAS RBX HR4 14.5 x 14 and jumped up to 4600 RPM with 3 adults and a bunch of stuff on board and a completely full fuel tank. The SOLAS prop was noticeabley lighter than the TP and a bit cheaper. Good thing is they use the same hub, so now I have great backup
I also had great help with planing by adding Smart Tabs trim tabs. Easy install and noticeable difference in both hole shot and handling.
